|15th College Technology Day
Indiana University of PA
August 22, 2018
The College of Education and Communications will be hosting the 15th "College Technology Day" on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 (the week before the beginning of fall semester). We hope you will be able to attend this day of very informative sessions. We again anticipate having approximately 60 separate sessions throughout the day. There is no charge for attendance and no pre-registration. Lunch is on your own. If you can't attend the entire day of activities, hopefully you can at least attend some of the sessions.
We had very positive feedback regarding our 14 previous College Technology Days. As in the past, we plan to start at 8:30am with a general session in Beard Auditorium in Stouffer Hall, then break in to a series of 50 minute sessions on a variety of technology topics (8 to 10 concurrent sessions each hour), break for lunch (lunch will be on your own), then continue with more sessions in the afternoon, then a wrap-up session (including prize drawings for attendees) back in Beard Auditorium at 4pm.
We are again planning a very broad series of technology related topics for the concurrent sessions that will show you what technologies are available, and give you ideas of how you might use the technology.
Please consider submitting a brief proposal. All I need is:
1) session title
2) name of presenter(s)
3) 2 or 3 sentence description of the session
4) if a standard classroom (with instructor station and projector) or if a computer lab for hands-on is needed
5) if a specific time slot (9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm) is needed, or if I can schedule it wherever it seems to fit best in the program
5) if it is to be a poster session or a regular session
Or let me know if there is a topic you would like to have presented by someone else.
PLEASE SUBMIT PRESENTATION PROPOSALS, POSTER SESSION PROPOSALS, OR TOPIC SUGGESTIONS TO Lloyd Onyett (firstname.lastname@example.org ) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT NO LATER THAN MAY 18, 2018.
In our 14 previous events, we had many faculty and staff and grad students across the university, as well as some people from other institutions, volunteer to share their expertise and ideas.
